A Town Council have been consulted over building plans ahead of a draft masterplan’s release.
South Woodham Ferrers Town Council have been in talks with Chelmsford City Council and Countryside Properties to discuss plans for a “significant” amount of new housing.
The site lies to the south of Chelmsford and next to South Woodham Ferrers.
The next stage will see a public consultation held by Chelmsford City Council in partnership with promoters.
Andrew Carrington, managing director of housebuilding at Countryside Property, said: “We are pleased to be working with the city council towards an agreed masterplan, in conjunction with the other promoters of the allocation site.
“The stakeholder workshops that took place this week were very productive.
“We received lots of very helpful feedback that will assist the development team to improve and evolve the masterplan before we formally submit this to the city council in the coming weeks.”
Stage two is set to go ahead in the spring when the plan will be released for public consultation.
A planning application will follow.
