Two men that were arrested in connection with the death of a man in Maldon town centre are due to appear in court next month.
Daryl Bunn was the victim of an alleged attack near Iceland in Maldon High Street last June.
He later died from his injuries at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
Sonny Hazell, 24, of Kings Road, Southminster, is charged with manslaughter and assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Jordan Hooper, 23, of Princes Avenue, Southminster, is charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “We arrested three people following reports two men were assaulted in High Street at around 8.50pm on Saturday 29 June 2019.
“A third man arrested, a 23-year-old man from Maldon, has been released without charge.
“Sadly, Daryl Bunn, 27, from Maldon, died of his injuries the following day.
“The other man was taken to hospital with a broken jaw.”
The accused are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 26.
