A PARISH council has started 2020 with a new year blitz on rubbish.
Heybridge Parish Council staged a community litter pick targeting areas in Temple Way and Heybridge Approach.
Councillors and residents worked together to collect more than a dozen bags of rubbish - including an old traffic cone.
A parish council spokesman said: “A massive thank you to all those that joined in to help keep our community clean, tidy and a safe environment. Flytipping and littering is becoming an issue across the parish. If you have any information, contact the Maldon District Council community protection team on 01621 852475 or the clerk at Heybridge Parish Council.”
