A SOCIETY president used her last act in office to donate money to a scheme which helps people suffering with dementia.
Hazel Bradley, who was president of the Burnham Hillside Bowls Club during the 2018/19 year, picked dementia group the Dengie D-Caf as her chosen charity for her year in office.
During the year, members have been generous in supporting the ex-president’s charity.
With her term of office over, it just remained for the sum collected over the year to be presented to the group.
Representative Cristina Franchi was handed a cheque for more than £700 by Hazel.
A spokesman said: “Cristina could not thank the Burnham Hillside Bowls Club enough for the donation and said it would be of great value in supporting the Dengie D-Caf.”
