A town's festive fayre saw hundreds gather to celebrate the Christmas season.

The Burnham Festive Fayre, organised by the Carnival Committee, was held on Saturday December 7 and featured stalls running down the High Street.

A carol service took place, attended by Councillors and residents who carried out a small reading.

Santa also arrived to greet the children, accompanied by Olaf from Frozen, as residents indulged in fair rides and lots of festive food and drink.

Organiser Wayne Martin said: “The fayre was a great success and the turnout was amazing.

“We have never seen the high street that busy.

“We would like to thank all the stalls holders, the fun fair and Edward Show Cars.

“Also, a massive thank you to Terry, Ivor, Damien, Danny and Kye for all their hard work during the day starting at 9am and not going home until gone 8pm.

“Thank you to all the committee members that helped out throughout the day.

“We desperately need new members on the committee - if this doesn't happen the carnival and fayre may be in trouble.

“If anyone wants any information, please get in touch.”
