SANTA’s sleigh is touring Maldon in the run-up to Christmas.
Maldon Rotary Club have announced the programme for the sleigh’s routes around the district.
A spokesman said: “We are delighted that Santa has agreed once again to leave his elves beavering away preparing for Christmas at the North Pole in order to visit the boys and girls in Maldon with his trusty reindeer and sleigh assisted by local elves.”
This Saturday at 4.30pm, the route starts at Milton Road and goes to Browning Road, Wordsworth, Masefield, Coleridge, Shakespeare, Longfellow, Tennyson and roads off Washington Road into Essex Road and Plume Avenue.
Next Monday from 6.30pm, it leaves Essex Road and Plume Avenue and goes on to the Viking estate.
Next Wednesday from 6.30pm, the sleigh will go through Lighterman’s Place, the estate opposite and the estate near Blackwater Leisure Centre.
On Saturday, December 14 at 6.30pm, it will go down Ben Cobey Avenue and Meeson Meadows.
On Monday, December 16 from 6.30pm, the route continues through Meeson Meadows and Falcon Fields.
On Wednesday, December 18, it will start from the bottom of Fambridge Road and goes towards Fambridge Close, Volwycke Avenue, Fambridge Road, Lambourne Grove and Wallace Binder Grove.
The last outing is on Saturday, December 21 from 4.30pm, in Wickham Bishops opposite the old Mitre pub.
