Langford’s Museum of Power will be hosting another magical evening following the success of its Faery Fayre debut.

The museum has called magic believers throughout the Maldon district to join them for a night of dressing up and exploring the magical village of Astaria.

More than 400 candle-lit lanterns will light up the village as faeries, elves and other mystical beings gather to enjoy the free spectacle.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Fairytale magic returns to Astaria, the only model village in Essex, with more than 400 candle-lit lanterns illuminating this wonderful spectacle.

“Children and those of all ages who are young at heart will be enchanted through seeing the fairies, elves, their homes, village life and some special magic performed by Alan Walker, the village owner, and Dave Mead.”

The Steam Pump Tea Room will also be open to serve warming food and refreshments to keep the chilly night weather at bay.

The illuminations have attracted hundreds of magical beings so far and the success is expected to continue until closing night.

The next illuminations will take on Friday, October 25 from 6pm-8pm.

The museum is also hosting an antiques fair this Sunday from 9.30am.

Admission is £3 (children free).
