EXCITING plans for expansion by a charity will be the subject of a talk this weekend.

Farleigh Hospice fundraising manager Debbie de Boltz will be giving a talk on Sunday at St Mary’s Church in Maldon.

The event will be an opportunity to hear about the hospice’s plans for opening a new hospice in Maldon.

A spokesman said: “Debbie’s talk takes place during Choral Evensong, during which St Mary’s choir will sing a setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis specially composed for them by Colchester composer Alan Bullard.

“There will be a chance to talk to Debbie and to question her about the plans over a glass of wine afterwards.

“The event will also be an opportunity to see the newly refurbished Octagon at St Mary’s, which is available for groups to hire.”

The event begins at 6pm on October 6.
