A CHARITY is offering grants to people with ideas to help residents stay warm this coming winter.

Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service is looking to award a series of micro grants of up to £300 to residents or groups through the annual Warm Maldon Campaign.

The campaign is now in its fifth year and supports hundreds of people every year with warm packs, information and events.

Last year, the campaign launched micro grants through two soup events.

Director Sarah Troop said: “We held two events last year supporting community ideas like promotion of a lend-a-hand service, knitting activities and food parcels.

“This year, we will be hosting three events and want to hear from the community with their ideas.”
