WARRINGTON Museum and Library is set to transform into a Fun Palace next month as part of a national campaign to promote culture at the heart of the community.

Fun Palaces is an ongoing campaign with an annual weekend of action every October to bring together arts, crafts, science, technology, heritage and sports activities, led by people sharing their own passions and skills.

On Saturday, October 5, Warrington Museum and Library will open its doors to this free activity day between 11am and 3pm.

The newly-revamped facility will offer children’s yoga, storytelling and poetry reading, family craft activities, a signing choir, wildlife drawing and make-up demonstrations.

Wendy Molyneux, LiveWire’s strategic library manager, said: "We are really excited to be turning Warrington Museum and Library into a Fun Palace next month and we can’t wait to welcome people along for a day of free, family-friendly activities.

"There’s lots planned already but we know there are lots of talented people in Warrington and what better way for them to be able to showcase and share their creativity, skills and talents.

"Whether it is crafts, arts, science, tech, digital, heritage or sports – we’re looking for people and groups to get involved!

"If you have something to share with others we would love for you to take part, help us connect communities and have fun together.

"Please get in touch if you would like to be involved."
