Maldon CVS are hosting a series of wellbeing walks throughout September and October for people who may feel isolated or lonely.
The walks, which are run by volunteers, usually start at Maldon Promenade and are around two miles long.
Sarah Troop, Director at Maldon and District CVS, said: “It’s about people getting together and being social, it’s not really to do with fitness.
“Maybe people want something to do and it’s a nice way to meet new people and get out and about if you’re fed up of your own company.
“Sometimes the walk splinters off and people go for shorter or longer walks.”
The next walk is September 25 at 10.30 am and the walks usually end with refreshments at a local café.
