The man police would like to speak to in conncection with the incident.
Police have appealed for information about a man following reports of a South Woodham Ferrers cyclist being abused.
They received information at around 10.50 am on Thursday 1 August that a man threw water over the victim and shouted words of abuse towards him while travelling in a van in Lower Road.
The victim reported that the vehicle was close to colliding him while he was being overtaken.
Anyone with information is asked to call Maldon police station on 101 quoting crime 42/124092/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
