THE coastguard led a mission to bring a person back on land after they fell on board a barge.
The South Woodham Coastguard Rescue Team were called out by the East of England Ambulance Service after a "casualty had fallen on board a barge which was returning to Maldon Quay".
The team were backed up by a group of local teams.
When they arrived at the scene, coastguard officers provided medical assistance while they waited for the paramedics to arrive.
The incident happened at around 3pm on August 1.
A spokesman said: "The casualty was safely extricated from the vessel with the assistance of Ambulance team and was left in the care of the ambulance crew."
