WITH a visit from Anglia In Bloom judges just around the corner, residents at a care home in Halstead have been getting in the spirit by creating their own floral creations.
Halstead Hall, part of Stow Healthcare, has been encouraging its residents to get creative in the garden as part of the Stow In Bloom competition.
Launched last year, the initiative has seen residents produce wildlife attractions and all manner of flower-based models and designs.
For those who struggle to get outside, the group has also allowed residents to produce miniature fairy gardens and handmade displays for indoors.
Judges visited Halstead Hall to award rosettes to the winning entriescreations they were most impressed with.
Spokesman Ruth French said: “Gardening has a tremendous impact on well-being and last year’s competition had such as positive impact on residents.”
