BOSSES at Maldon District Council said they were “proud” to mark Reserves Day.
Reservists make up a sixth of the country’s Armed Forces, each balancing civilian life with a military career so that they are ready to serve in the military should their country need them.
Reserves Day is a chance to thank reservists for their commitment to serving this country and for their dedication to their roles.
Council chairman Bob Boyce (pictured) said: “The Maldon District is very proud of the Country’s Armed Forces and recognises the efforts of the reservists who dedicate themselves to the service of the United Kingdom.
“The council shows its appreciation of all the Armed Forces by supporting Armed Forces weekend events and by flying the Armed Forces Day flag.”
