A COMMUNITY is in shock as life-saving emergency equipment was reported as stolen.
Heybridge Parish Council have put out an appeal after their defibrillator outside Plantation Hall went missing.
The equipment went missing between June 10 and June 13.
A first responder had been investigating with the ambulance service last week in case it had been used and just not returned.
Parish chairman Simon Burwood said he was disappointed and saddened that this had happened as the defibrillator was a vital community resource and that any information would be appreciated.
A council spokesman added: “The defibrillator was kept in a locked cabinet by the main entrance and unfortunately has been removed from the cabinet."
Anyone with information is urged to call the parish clerk on 01621 855652.
