A boy from Danbury has followed in his siblings’ footsteps to appear on screen for a new documentary.

Kaya Cerikci, seven, appeared on new three-part documentary Planet Child on ITV last night.

It follows the successful appearances on screen of his world-famous triplet siblings Ayaz, Koray and Kuzey – affectionately known as the Piplets on social media.

Kaya is one of six children of mum Claire, 40, and dad Gurcan, 39.

Every single child has now been on screen.

The youngster landed the role after casting agents contacted the family last year about the new show.

Mum Claire said: “In November 2018, they took Kaya and a group of about ten kids between aged four to seven to do a weekend of filming at Kingston-upon-Thames.

“This episode is looking at the issues surrounding gender roles and how it is affecting children, for example, who should play with dolls, which gender do the children think are stronger or weaker and why.”

Claire added: “He’s done a little bit of filming before.

“Last year in March, he did filming for a movie starring Keira Knightley and Matt Smith with his sister Yaren, 14, and brothers Kutay, 12, and Kuzey, four.

“He really enjoyed filming for Planet Child.

“Obviously he was a bit nervous to start off with but when he came back from the first day he had made a few friends.

“By the end of the series he did not want to leave his friends.

“It was something quite unusual and different from what he’s used to doing, so it was nice for him.”

The third episode aired last night.

Kaya is also set to appear among his siblings in drama Official Secrets in August.

The family came to fame when triplets Kuzey, Koray and Ayaz were born with a rare condition.

Identical twins Kuzey and Koray were diagnosed with MoMo, meaning they shared one amniotic sac and placenta – a condition affecting just 1 per cent of all twins globally.
