A trio of vehicles have been destroyed in separate fires.
Firefighters from Maldon were called to two cases of blazes in the town centre on Friday and Saturday.
The first came at around 4pm on Friday when an old VW camper van was found in flames near to Kwik Fit in Fullbridge, Maldon.
A spokesman for the fire station, said: "After battling through the challenging traffic conditions caused by the incident, we were in attendance by 4.10pm.
"Upon our arrival, we were confronted by a large vehicle fire.
"A team wore breathing apparatus and used two hoses to quickly bring the fire under control.
"The team then continued until the fire was completely extinguished."
The following morning, a silver Vauxhall Corsa was found on its side just outside the entrance of Blackwater Retail Park.
Beside the flaming vehicle was a traffic sign which had been bent on the roundabout.
The front grill of the vehicle had been torn off the car as a result of the incident.
The station spokesman added: "Luckily no casualties were reported.
"We worked with the police to make the scene safe and remove debris from the road."
The incidents both follow reports from the Standard of another vehicle fire in Tollesbury.
None of the incidents are believed to be connected.
