A TALK is being held to educate locals on some of Britain’s most popular birds of prey.

Wildlife lecturer and photographer Chris Ward is hosting the talk at St Andrew’s Church Hall in Halstead.

He will be giving his Natural Born Killers talk about raptors.

The presentation will be a detailed look at birds of prey.

Audiences can learn about their breeding behaviour, hunting strategies and their prey, as well as how the different species adapt to their lifestyles.

Mr Ward will also be sharing which species are increasing and declining and what challenges they face today.

The fully illustrated talk will featuring many British birds of prey, from kestrels and kites to harriers and hawks, plus some overseas species.

The talk is at 7.30pm at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Parsonage Street, on May 21.

Admission is by a £3 donation, payable on the day.
