POLICE have put out an appeal to look for two men in connection with a burglary.

The incident happened yesterday (April 15) when reports came in of a break-in at a home in St Giles Close, Maldon at around 4.40pm.

Officers attended and saw two men fleeing the scene.

One of the men threatened the officers with an unknown object, before both got into a black Mini Cooper driven by a third man.

A search was carried out and the car, which had a red roof, was last seen travelling towards Witham.

It is not yet known what was stolen during the burglary.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries remain ongoing and we want to speak to the two men pictured in connection with our investigation.

“We’d like to speak to anyone who recognises them or has any information about the incident, and anyone who has seen a car matching the description given.”
