I was one of the unfortunate customers who received a parking fine when I had in no way breached the parking terms and conditions at the Blackwater Road car park in Maldon.
On March 25, I parked legally for 48 minutes while shopping in Next.
The sign quite clearly states that you are allowed to park for a maximum of three hours.
Naturally I appealed against this charge, sending a copy of my receipt as proof that I that I had shopped in Next.
I have since received a letter to say this parking charge has now been cancelled.
However, the letter I received was insulting, as they did not apologise for their error. It was an unsigned standard letter that was totally inappropriate.
To be branded a criminal when I did not breach the terms and conditions for parking at this car park I feel deserves an apology and an offer of compensation for all the inconvenience and expense that I have been caused.
I sincerely hope other customers who have been through the same experience haven't been treated as badly as I have.
