A CARE home has received a positive rating following a snap inspection by watchdogs.
Southminster Residential Home was visited in February by the Care Quality Commission and by Essex Quality and Compliance in March.
The Care Quality Commission rated the care home good in all five of the inspected key areas.
It means Southminster is a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led home.
Inspectors praising the home for its ‘‘well trained, consistent staff team, who were motivated to provide good quality care”.
The Essex Quality and Compliance inspectors also rated the care home, which is based in Station Road, Southminster, as good.
Manager Liz Wynn said: “I’m delighted with the results and the final ratings of both inspections.
“Southminster is one big happy family that has the privilege of caring for loved ones at the home.’’
Residents, relatives and staff were interviewed during visits by the inspectors, who also observed interactions and practises and checked all forms of documentation.
