A satirical video in anticipation of the May elections has been seen by hundreds of residents.
The video by Cocker Freeman covers The Who's classic, My Generation, with a lighthearted take on the upcoming Maldon District Council elections.
The video was posted on YouTube on Sunday.
The council has announced the nominations for this year's elections, with a number of experienced and established councillors missing from the list.
Among the current councillors who will not be standing this year include; Beverley Acevedo (Althorne), Helen Elliott (Burnham North), David Sismey (Great Totham), Miriam Lewis (Heybridge West), John Archer (Purleigh), Andrew St. Joseph (Tollesbury) and the current council chairman, Henry Bass (Wickham Bishops and Woodham).
Maldon District Council declined to comment on the song when contacted by the Standard.
