Theft, mindless car vandalism and break ins are among the incidents reported throughout Maldon District in the last week.

Areas across Maldon including Althorne, Burnham, Heybridge, Purleigh, Tollesbury and Wickham Bishops have all had incidents happen.

This list was compiled from the reports put together by the Maldon District Neighbourhood Watch.

Here's all the incidents, and when they were reported and where they happened at the end of March.

ALTHORNE

March 20, Ludgrove: Suspects unidentified have been seen tampering under the victim’s vehicle and when approached by the victim has got up and left.

Victim has then looked under the vehicle and discovered the handbrake cable had been deliberately cut.

March 22, Imperial Avenue: Suspects unknown have gained entry to the victims building shed by removing the padlock.

Nothing removed from within.

BURNHAM

March 21, Foundry Lane: Suspects unknown have attempted to gain entry to the clothes bank.

Suspects have stolen both padlocks securing the bank and have damaged the mechanism.

March 21, Station Road: Suspect unknown has removed the padlock by unknown means to the clothes bank and emptied the clothes bank of its contents.

HEYBRIDGE

March 17, Heybridge Hall Gardens: Victim reports three suspects unidentified have thrown a piece of wood at her vehicle causing damage to the paintwork.

March 19, Langford Road: Suspects unknown who are 3 children have been throwing stones at vehicles.

The children were hiding in the wooded area and one stepped out into the road threw a rock at the victims grey Fiat 500 whilst he was driving smashing the windscreen.

March 20, Basin Road: Suspect unknown has stolen the front index plate of the victims grey Saab 9-5 index LJ51 XWW by unscrewing it.

March 23, Goldhanger Road: Suspects unknown have removed the victims black Land Rover Discovery index YE57 VJX from the car park of Chigboro' Fisheries lake whilst he was fishing overnight.

March 19, Heybridge Approach: Suspect unknown has thrown a lump of wood at the victim’s car Skoda Octavia from the side of the road causing the washer jet casing on his headlight to snap.

March 18, Heybridge Approach: Suspect unknown has thrown a wooden stake from the bushes hitting victim’s vehicle causing a mark.

March 22, Heybridge Approach: Suspect unknown has thrown a rock into path of Fiat 500 motor car damaging the windscreen.

MALDON

March 18, Edward Bright Close, High Street: Suspects unknown have gained entry to victims garden shed with means unknown and when inside have stolen victims BMX pedal cycle valued £130.

March 21, Fambridge Close: Suspect unknown by means unknown has shattered the glass in the passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle to gain entry.

Once inside suspect has pulled the headrests from the front seat in order to reach through to the back of the vehicle and removed carpenters tools from within.

PURLEIGH

March 20, Fambridge Road: Suspect unknown caused damage to a double glazed sliding door and two double glazed windows belonging to the victim by means of smashing the outer glazing with an unknown implement.

TOLLESBURY

March 22, Woodrolfe Road: Suspects unknown have attempted to gain entry to the premises through the main workshop door at the side of the building.

It is an alarmed side door and there is no record of the alarm being sounded but the metal plating on the door handle is damaged in line with possible attempt to pry open with a crow bar.

The force resulted in the internal door handle dropping loose.

No entry gained.

TOLLESHUNT D'ARCY

March 20, South Street: Suspect unknown has sawn off two infant trees owned and planted by the victim.

WICKHAM BISHOPS

March 18, Unknown Location: Suspect’s unknown forced entry onto victims land by breaking padlock with unknown implement then removed and stole a boat trailer.

March 21, Bassetts Lane: Suspects unknown have gained access into victim’s insecure garage by using unlocked side door and have stolen contractor’s tools from within.
