Police have urged members of the public to keep vigilant after crooks stole bikes from a garage yesterday afternoon.
The burglary in Mayland saw two motorbikes stolen by a silver-coloured Renault or transit type van.
Suspects are said to be three males and a female.
Police tweeted this at 2.58pm yesterday:
Garage burglary Mayland 2 motor bikes stolen on the last 30 minutes. Silver coloured Renault or transit type van 3 males and a female - if seen please dial 999.#mayland #burglary #motorcross@EssexPoliceUK @EssexPoliceUK @maldonstandard

A police spokesman said: "We were called at about 2pm on with reports of a garage had been broken into in North Drive, Mayland, and two motorbikes were stolen.
"The bikes were both orange in colour.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Maldon local policing team on 101 quoting reference 42/40508/19.
