A BURNHAM rower is nearly at the finish line of her epic journey across the Atlantic Ocean.
PC Dawn Wood is nearly at the end of her 3000-mile solo trek from Gran Canaria to Barbados to raise awareness about plastic pollution in the oceans.
She will become the seventh woman in the world to complete this challenge.
A spokesman said: “Dawn's family are now in Barbados, ready for her arrival.
“The official finish line is at North Point, and she is expected to arrive there at around 3.30am on Tuesday morning, Barbados time.
“She will then row round to Port St Charles where there will be an official welcoming party, attended by the High Commissioner.”
Ms Wood will arrive in these equivalent time zones: 2.30am in New York, 11.30pm Monday in Los Angeles and 6.30pm in Melbourne.
