A MAN from the north east of the country has been arrested in the Dengie on charges of flytipping.
The 42-year-old man from Stockton-on-Tees in Cleveland had an outstanding court warrant and had been recalled to appear at court.
The car was stopped in Station Road, Southminster around 12.45pm on January 17 where an arrest was made by the Essex Police Gypsy, Traveller & Rural Engagement Team.
Five other men who were also in the car have been reported on suspicion of hare-coursing.
In a tweet, a spokesman said: “Thank you to the community of Southminister for your continued support and offers of cups of tea for the team during this incident.
“This vehicle is now off to be crushed.”
Enquiries are ongoing.
