A FOOTBALL club dug deep to make a series of donations to support charities both at home and abroad.
Maldon and Tiptree FC completed its charity donations for 2018 by presenting a cheque for £200 to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
The money was in addition to several complete second-hand kits, training tops, tracksuits and kit bags that were sent to help organisations in Africa, as well as a donation to the Purleigh playground equipment refurbishment fund.
The cheque was presented by Eliza Garty, chairman Ed Garty and committee member Michael Hunt to air ambulance representative Di Leggett.
Club secretary Roger Stapleton said: “We collect the money from raffles we do at every home game we have and it’s taken in by Michael.
“We had a bit of money to give and so that cheque is the first of many.”
