A SUPERMARKET in Maldon delivered some festive cheer with more than 100 presents to Broomfield Hospital’s Phoenix children’s ward.
Morrison’s community champion Adam Nicholls played Santa as he took the festive treats to youngsters.
He said: “It’s something very close to my heart as I was in there quite a lot when I was younger. When I came through the door with my arms filled with presents, their little faces just lit up.”
Senior sister Mel Hodge added: “Nobody wants to spend Christmas in hospital but the ward is a happy place and to have presents to give out really puts a smile on everyone’s faces. A big thank you to Morrisons from everyone here."
