A HOUSEBUILDER donated hundreds of pounds so Santa could visit a Christmas fair.
David Wilson Homes gave £400 to Burnham Carnival to help cover the costs of Father Christmas, who toured the town ahead of arriving at the fair.
Carnival chairman Caroline Sarychkin said: “The festive fayre in Burnham was a resounding success.
“The bad weather didn’t materialise, and the crowds were out in force.
“Santa appeared on his sleigh and on behalf of the carnival committee I would like to thank our generous sponsor for the donation, which meant that all the children who have been good were able to get sweets from him. It was a lovely, happy afternoon.”
Company spokesman Annette Hurst said: “The Burnham Festive Fayre was a great opportunity for us to support the town, as this is such an important event for the area.”
The developer is currently building homes in Maldon Road.
