CHRISTMAS APPEAL: Home-Start Essex’s Alison Jones, Derai Lewis-Jones, Cindy Blease and Nic O’Brien with Maldon District Council chairman Henry Bass and council officer Luke Daley
COUNCIL staff joined forces with a charity to organise a Christmas gift appeal.
Maldon District Council supported Home-Start Essex by donating gifts to families which are getting help in the district.
A spokesman said: “Staff donated Christmas gifts for children whose families would benefit enormously from having an extra gift to be able to give to their children and for some of the parents who may receive very little for themselves.”
Council chairman Henry Bass added: “I am delighted to be able to present these gifts which our staff and partners have donated to families that need some extra help this Christmas.”
