A CHARITY group is urging more children to meet Santa in Maldon at a special party.
West Maldon Community Centre, in Sunbury Way, has run a Christmas party for children more than 20 years.
However this year, ticket sales have slumped.
A spokesman said: “For a nominal charge, the children get entertained by the fabulous Mr Happy, visit Santa to get a small present and have food and drink.
“This has always been very well attended but for some reason this year the ticket sales have been a bit slow so we encourage you to support your community centre and get your children entertained for a couple of hours at the same time.”
Saturday’s event is open to children who are aged ten or younger and runs from 3pm to 5.30pm Tickets are £6, which includes entertainment and refreshments.
