A RESIDENTS group is inviting the public on a litter pick in the Dengie tomorrow.
The Asheldham Residents Group and Maldon District Council Leader Adrian Fluker have arranged for a Winter Litter Pick of verges, ditches and hedgerows to improve the environment.
Residents are encouraged to meet at the Asheldham and Dengie Village Hall in Manor Road from 10am.
Group chairman Colin Cooper said: “Coffee and tea will be available from 9.30am.
“There will also be hot stew and dumplings served from noon.
“While some kit in the form of hand held pickers, high visibility bibs and plastic bags will be provided, volunteers may wish to bring their own bibs and a few of their own bags in case there are not enough to go round.
“Gloves and suitable footwear are essential.
“Full bags should be left outside the hall as collection has been arranged.
“It is anticipated that the project will last for no more than two hours depending on the number of participants.
“The more volunteers, the easier and quicker the task will be.”
