A FANTASY role-playing event is set to take place in the Dengie this weekend.
The Southend Steampunk Group will be hosting Penny Dreadful at the Burnham-On-Crouch and District Museum in Coronation Road on December 1.
A spokesman said: “For those that love a scary and thrilling story, come and attend an afternoon with us.
“Whilst meandering the halls of Burnham museum, you will be regaled and enthralled by dastardly deeds from the deepest of Essex's past - time to reflect after and venture further into the museum.
"All welcome afterwards to join us and have a restorative drink to steady your nerves at the White Harte Hotel.”
Steampunk is a science fiction genre that uses designs and clothing inspired by Victorian era steam-powered machines.
Tickets for the event will be £6 per person and proceeds will be donated to Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
The event will start from 3pm.
