Trains towards Southminster cancelled due to road accident
TRAINS may be cancelled this afternoon between Wickford and Southminster due to a road accident.
Due to a road traffic accident at a level crossing at South Woodham Ferrers, services between Wickford and Southminster have been suspended.
A Greater Anglia spokesman said: “Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
“Disruption is expected until 5pm.
“We are currently trying to resource buses to replace trains between these stations.
"The estimated time of arrival for these buses will be 4:30pm.
“Greater Anglia and Network Rail are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption.
