ON November 11 at services across the country, we will pay our respects at war memorials and services for those who died 100 years ago during the First World War.
These people fought bravely and proudly for our country.
Families were devastated by their loss.
Normally these services are not very long.
As an added mark of respect, how nice it would be if traffic stopped while they are in progress.
A few minutes from our busy lives cannot compare to what they gave for us.
As their names are read out, let us show they are not forgotten.
It’s the least we can do and costs nothing. It’s called Remembrance Day, so let us remember.
