CHURCHES in Maldon will be lit up in bright lights in support of charity next week.
All Saints Church in Silver Street and St Mary’s Church in Church Street will be bathed in purple light from October 24 to October 27 to support the Maldon Rotary Club’s contributions to end polio.
A spokesman said: “Rotary is an international community that takes on challenges, locally and globally.
"The eradication of Polio is one of our most significant efforts.
"Along with our partners we have helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries.
“Maldon Rotary club is continuing to support this most worthy cause using funds raised in the community for which we are most grateful.
“Look out for the purple light.”
