LITTLE Oakley defender Rory Harman says he and his team-mates must give every ounce of effort and put their bodies on the line again in tonight's FA Vase replay at Enfield 1893.

The sides are set to meet at Harlow Town - where Enfield play their home games - after a 2-2 draw in the first-round proper tie at the Memorial Ground on Saturday.

Trailing at the break, the Acorns nosed in front before a late own goal left the contest all-square and necessitated a second match tonight.

"It was a really good game," said long-serving Harman.

"I enjoyed it, although it was hard work.

"Enfield were a decent side - it we switch off tonight, they'll punish us - but all the boys stepped up to the occasion, because in the last two weeks we've been awful (losing 8-0 and 5-0).

"Those two defeats were the worst performances I can remember for a long time so to see everyone take responsibility and battle as they did at the weekend was really pleasing.

"I wouldn't knock anyone for the way they played and it just goes to show that when you've got a big game and you're pumped up, not wanting to let people down, you really step up to the plate.

"Now we've got to do it all again tonight.

"If we don't, and we don't turn up, all this hard work will have been for nothing.

"That would be such a shame and such a waste."

Stephen Polley was the two-goal in Saturday's match, first firing his side level early in the second half and then blasting them in front.

"Everyone played brilliantly," added Harman.

"No-one put a foot wrong and all the boys put their bodies on the line.

"We'll rest up between now and tonight, recharge our batteries and go again.

"I think we'll be fine.

"Saturday was probably the biggest game I've played in in my life.

"We knew how important it was to the club and it was great seeing such a big crowd there."

Elsewhere tonight, FC CLACTON are also in Vase replay action at home to Buckingham Athletic, after drawing 2-2 on Saturday.

BRANTHAM ATHLETIC have a Thurlow Nunn League premier division fixture at Hadleigh United while BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT are in Bostik League premier division action at Enfield Town.
