LOOKING AHEAD: Concord Rangers are back in their stride after a poor run of results derailed their good early season form.

Five games without a win has been followed up by three triumphs in succession – with two of those in the FA Cup.

Concord now make the trip to Oxford City hoping to continue that momentum ahead of next Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Dover Athletic.

Oxford sit in 18th position in the league but City are a match for anyone on their own turf.

Oxford have won five of their last six games at Marsh Lane and have seen off the likes of Dartford, Wealdstone and Torquay United this season. Only Bath City have taken three points away from Oxford.

COACH’S VIEW: “The league form is something we need to improve bearing in mind we have had a few FA Cup games recently,” said first-team coach Darren Beale. “Oxford will be another push in the right direction but they are a good side on their day.

“We have realised away from home we need to change it up and play slightly differently. People look at our home performances and apart from Welling we have done well. We need to mix it up and change our mindset.

“Not losing is the key and being defensively better is important. That is where we are.

“Maintaining the winning run would be brilliant heading into the FA Cup. We want to maintain good habits.”

TEAM NEWS: Michael Clark could make his debut, Sean Clohessy remains sidelined.
