A BESTSELLING author launched a new book in Maldon to help small businesses achieve success.

Ray Moore, author of bestselling business books Can your Business Step Up to the Growth Challenge? and Can You Step Up to the Growth Challenge? Launched his latest book in the “Growth” series, George’s Pursuit Across the Perilous Ocean, on Hythe Quay.

The book launch, held on September 20, was aboard The Hydrogen, a sailing barge built in 1906, which was selected to provide an interesting and memorable venue with a link to the nautical theme of the book.

The event was attended by the deputy mayor of Chelmsford Christine Garrett and her escort, Sheila Wilkinson, plus members of the Fluid Business Group.

Ray Moore’s career has seen him help more than 100 business owners create sustainable growth during his 15 years of business coaching so far.

Mr Moore, also a business owner, has extensive experience in buying, building and selling his own businesses, meaning he has an understanding of the real challenges business owners face day-in, day-out.

His main passion lies with family business owners, having been working with them for many years to resolve conflict, manage family employees and succession planning.

Mr Moore understands the pressures felt by business owners from his own personal experiences of complex periods of change within his own organisations.

He said: “The title of the book came from an idea I had of creating something that made people think ‘oh that looks interesting, I wonder what it’s about’.

“It’s short enough to be an enjoyable read with a light-hearted approach to a serious subject. It’s a thought-provoking sun-bed read!”

The Fluid Business Group proposition includes professional 1-2-1 coaching as well as an online training academy that allows business owners to access expertise at a cost and time to best suit them.
