FAMILIES looking for social housing in the Dengie are being urged to sign up for new homes in Burnham.

Housebuilder Charles Church is building the Grangewood Park site which will see 180 homes built off Southminster Road.

It has worked in partnership with Maldon District Council to offer affordable shared ownership and rented properties.

There will be one, two and three bedroom properties with a garden and parking available.

To be eligible to be considered for the social housing in Burnham, or any future development, people must register on the Gateway to Homechoice Housing Register.

Bob Boyce, of Maldon District Council, said: “This is a terrific opportunity to obtain one of the homes on a shared ownership or affordable rent basis.

“However, it is important that to be considered for one of these properties, you must register on the Housing Register as soon as possible.

“The development has been extremely well designed and provides a high quality of design set within beautiful areas of open space and I am sure the properties will not be available for long.”

For information regarding the shared ownership properties applicants will need to register with Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association Ltd (BPHA) on www.helptobuyese.org.uk or contact 03333 214 044.
