DARREN Manning says Hullbridge Sports are preparing for the ‘best Redbridge possible’ ahead of tomorrow’s Essex Senior League clash.

Sports - the only unbeaten team in the division - sit five points clear at the summit.

And while Redbridge are performing below par and currently sit in 13th place, Manning is taking nothing for granted.

“It is coming together quicker than we thought,” he said. “We knew what we needed to improve on and the players have been working so hard and their work rate and desire on matchdays is brilliant.

“We had five players carrying injuries on Tuesday but they all wanted to play.

“Redbridge are inconsistent and if they turn up they will be one of the best in the league. We are preparing for the best Redbridge team.”

Eight players are suspended for Sports, although Rob Hodgson returns.

Southend Manor are looking to improve on their early season record and climb the standings when they welcome West Essex.

Manor have lost four of the last five in the league and are 13th in the standings.

Striker Nathan Dewberry is a serious doubt, Mo Kargbo is serving the final match of a three game suspension, Jamie Brown, John-Jo Slater and Lee Delf are on holiday.
