Next Saturday and Sunday sees the Goldhanger Gala Weekend take place.
Attractions on Saturday include a classic car display between 10am and 4pm, a barbecue in the Square, morris dancers at 12.30pm, the Rhythm Riders live band 1.30pm to 4pm in the Chequers garden and an Elton John Tribute at 9pm, also at the Chequers.
On Sunday afternoon, there is a produce show at the church between 2pm and 5pm and a samba band at the Chequers at lunchtime. On both days, there will be an art exhibition at the village hall, a book sale at the church and a beer festival at the Chequers.
It is bound to get pretty busy but there will be plenty of parking for visitors on the school field in Church Street. If previous gala weekends can be relied on, it will be glorious weather.
