THE Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting for on-call firefighters all over Essex.
They are recruiting in 35 fire stations, including Maldon, Burnham, South Woodham Ferrers, Tillingham, Tiptree and Tollesbury.
Members of the public who are interested are invited to speak to the fire stations in their area about the role.
Training nights take place every Monday from 7pm to 9pm.
On-call firefighters protect their area by responding to incidents such as fires and road traffic collisions as well as community safety work.
Depending on the area, participants may earn up to between £4000 and £6500 a year.
The requirements are to live or work within five minutes of an on-call fire station, be physically fit and more than 18 years old.
