Armed Forces Day celebrations proved to be a big success.
A ceremony at Stow Maries Aerodrome saw many representatives of the forces and organisations across the county enjoy the event.
Despite the heat across the country, standard bearers, sea scouts and Chelsea pensioners came out on Saturday in their best colours.
They were also joined by representatives from Maldon District Council as well as appearances from John Jowers, Chairman of Essex County Council, Mayor of Colchester, Peter Chillingworth.
CEO Ian Flint said: “The day went brilliantly – with music from the Army Air Corps and Essex Yeomanry Bands, a wonderful parade featuring the RBL, Chelsea Pensioners and massed tri-service cadet forces.”
