LAST week we treated ourselves to delicious scones at the excellent Braxted Bakery tearooms.
As we turned towards Braxted at Wickham Bishops War Memorial, we found four large lorries, two road rollers and nearly a dozen operatives engaged in re-surfacing what is, after all, a minor road towards Kelvedon.
Why is all this money being spent on a country lane, when Maldon High Street still has large potholes ?
