A man arrested on suspicion of kidnap has been released on bail.
Officers attended an address in Heywood Way, Heybridge, at 6am on Thursday morning.
A 42-year-old man was arrested by Herts Police on suspicion of kidnap as part of an on-going enquiry.
The man, from Essex, has been bailed until March 2 while police enquiries continue.
