BREWERS from Southminster were welcomed into the House of Commons to celebrate their best selling ale.
Phil and Abby Wilcox, proprietors of Wibblers Brewery in Southminster were welcomed by Maldon MP John Whittingdale into the commons this week, where their Apprentice ale will be the guest beer in the Strangers Bar for the week beginning December 4.
Wibblers was established on a commercial basis in 2007 in a converted barn in Mayland by Phil Wilcox, following 20 years of home brewing experience.
Its beers have won numerous awards, with John Whittingdale also recently attending the opening of their new premises and tap room in Goldsands Road.
John said: “This week is a particularly busy one in Parliament and the House of Commons sat until 1am on Monday.
"The bar is always full with members and guests and I am delighted that my colleagues will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy Wibblers Apprentice throughout the week.”
