A TEAM of intrepid staff from a Maldon based charity are preparing to take on a gruelling challenge.
The Three Lakes Challenge involves kayaking for 35km along Britain’s longest lakes, Windermere, Coniston and Ulswater.
On Saturday, a team of 11 staff and partners from Action for Family Carers will be heading to the Lake District to take on the challenge.
Caroline Tichborne, the charity’s advocate, said: “None of us are athletes by any stretch, but we have all be working very hard to be fit enough.
“Equally importantly for us, we hope to raise a lot of money for Action for Family Carers.
Jayne Hare, respite service manager at Action for Family Carers, added: “We are really looking forward to travelling north and taking part in this to raise money.”
