MALDON'S Rotary Club has had to cancel its annual plant sale for this year.
The Maldon Rotary Club was due to hold its annual plant sale to raise money for charity this month, but unfortunately due to an "exceptionally cold and dry spring" it has had to be cancelled.
This will be the first time in nearly 30 years that the plant sale will not take place.
A club spokesman said: "We have lost several plants due to the cold weather. Conditions are not yet right for planting out tender plants. Unfortunately we are not able to reschedule this popular event this year. Next year the sale will be on May 12.
"We would like to thank all our customers and friends for their support over the past years and look forward to seeing you next year."
